Suet feeders attract woodpeckers too, if you’re looking to attract those! And niger thistle seed for goldfinches!
It’s also ideal to put feeders near trees or bushes. That way the birds feel less afraid to come out in the open, since they’re always watching out for hawks and stuff.
There is an entire science to this whole backyard birdfeeding thing, it’s ridiucloussesesssess.

No I don’t mind at all! ;; I joke about it because I’m not nearly as good at bird stuff as I think people think I am, and I’m not attempting to be humble, I think that’s the honest truth!
Honestly I like when people ask me bird questions! So really, it’s somewhat of an honor that people come to me for that. D:
P.S. Grosbeaks really like sunflower seeds if you’re trying to attract them (cardinals also love them!)
